Shan Masood became Pakistan's Test team captain in November 2023.
He began playing cricket at age 5 after his family moved back to Pakistan during the 1990 Gulf War.
In 2002, he represented Pakistan in the Under-15 Asia Cup.
During the 2009 school cricket season, he amassed 1237 runs for Stamford School.
His initial test century came in July 2015 against Sri Lanka.
