Born and raised in Girgaon, Mumbai, she faced financial hardships during her school years, leading her to pursue acting in Marathi and Hindi films.
Seema chose her screen name on her brother's suggestion and met her future husband, actor Ramesh Deo, on a train to Filmistan Studios in Mumbai.
Starting her career in theatre, she transitioned to movies and starred in over 80 films, including popular ones like 'Dus Lakh' and 'Anand'.
