Saleem Ahmed is an Indian politician serving as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council for the Hubli–Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag District constituency since January 6, 2022.
He began his political journey as a congress party worker and organized rallies, training camps, and youth conventions.
In 1982, Saleem Ahmed was elected as the Student Union Leader of Sheshadripuram College, Bangalore.
By 1984, he had become the vice president of Bangalore City NSUI, and by 1987, he was the President of Karnataka NSUI and General Secretary of All India Youth Congress.
During his tenure as a leader, Saleem Ahmed advocated for youth-related issues and involved youngsters in the nation-building process by highlighting their concerns.
He represented India as a delegate at the International Youth Conference in Moscow and Korea in 1989.
