Saksham was known for being an enthusiastic dog lover.
On January 7, 2018, during a journey from Delhi to Panipat, the car carrying him and five other powerlifters collided with a road divider on the Delhi-Panipat National Highway-1.
The accident resulted in the immediate loss of four powerlifters' lives.
Saksham Yadav sustained severe injuries in the collision, along with another powerlifter named Rohit.
Both injured individuals were initially taken to Max Hospital in north-west Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh.
Saksham Yadav was later transferred to AIIMS in central Delhi, where he succumbed to his injuries.
