S.S. Rajamouli's father is the renowned director and screenwriter Koduri Venkata Vijayendra Prasad.
He began his career as an assistant to the acclaimed director K. Raghavendra Rao.
Rajamouli also worked at the AVM recording theater.
His directorial debut was the Telugu serial Shanti Nivasam, with guidance from K. Raghavendra Rao.
Rajamouli is known for writing screenplays for hit films like Simhadri (2003), Sye (2004), Vikramarkudu (2006), and Baahubali: The Beginning (2015).
