Rakesh Verma serves as an Indian Administrative Officer.
He was raised in a middle-class family in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.
Since childhood, Rakesh excelled in academics and aspired to serve his country.
After graduating, Rakesh sat for the UPSC examination and successfully cleared it in 1993, becoming a 1993 batch IAS Officer of the Punjab cadre.
He commenced his training on 5 September 1993.
In his free time, Rakesh enjoys reading books and spending time with his family.
Upon joining the Indian Administrative Services in 1993, his pay band was between Rs. 67,000 and Rs. 79,000.
In 2019, Rakesh initiated the Innovation and Technology Summit as part of Mission Innovate Punjab. He held a press conference on 1 November 2019 at The Lalit, Chandigarh, to announce details about the mission.
