After earning his Post Graduation from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi, he focused on preparing for the Civil Services exam.
He successfully passed the UPSC Examination and joined the Indian Administrative Service in the 1978 Batch, serving in the Rajasthan Cadre.
Throughout his professional journey, he accumulated over 30 years of experience in the field.
Rajiv is a relative of the respected Lt. General Anoop Malhotra.
At one point in his career, he held the position of District Magistrate and Collector in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
