Some Lesser Known Facts

Pratik Doshi is an Indian civil servant currently serving as an Officer-on-Special Duty (OSD) in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
He is often referred to as the “eyes and ears of the Prime Minister” due to his close association with Narendra Modi.
In June 2023, Pratik made headlines for marrying Vangmayi Parakala, the daughter of India’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman.
During Narendra Modi’s time as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Doshi worked in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
He was relocated to New Delhi in 2014 to work at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) when Modi assumed office as the Prime Minister of India.
On June 14, 2023, Doshi was promoted and took on the role of a joint secretary in the PMO before being designated as the OSD (Research & Strategy).
Doshi is considered a significant contributor to the Indian Government’s decision to ban the sale and use of plastic bags in India.
Their wedding ceremony reportedly had only close friends and family in attendance, with notable personalities absent. Seers from Udupi Adamaru Mutt graced the occasion to impart blessings following ancient rituals mentioned in the Vedas.
