Pran, an accomplished Indian actor, earned the moniker 'Villain of the Millennium' for his portrayal of antagonists in Hindi films.
His early education took place in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, where he excelled in Mathematics.
During his youth, he found joy in flying kites.
At 57, Pran was smoking 100-120 cigarettes daily but successfully quit at the same age.
Following his 10th grade studies, he embarked on photography training at A. Das & Co. studio in Delhi.
In his childhood, he enacted the character of Sita in a ramleela.
At 19, he received his first opportunity in the Punjabi film 'Yamla Jat.'
Prior to India's partition, he gained widespread fame for his roles in Hindi movies.
In 1945, he tied the knot and relocated his family to Indore, while he pursued his acting career in Lahore.
After the upheaval in British India, he shifted to Mumbai in 1947, leading to an increase in acting offers.
Pran's on-screen villainy was so convincing that he was feared off-screen by many.
Although he shared a close friendship with Raj Kapoor, their bond strained after the release of 'Bobby.'
He appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan in over 14 Hindi films and recommended him for 'Zanjeer.'
From 1969 to 1982, Pran ranked among the highest-paid actors in Bollywood.
In 1972, he turned down the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'Be-Imaan.'
During his later years, he selectively took on acting projects and featured in a handful of Hindi movies.
Pran extended financial aid to Amitabh Bachchan during his financial struggles.
