Aman Arora, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), serves as the co-president of the Punjab state unit.
Before AAP, Arora was in the Indian National Congress (INC) and contested the Sunam assembly seat in 2007 and 2012.
Arora was inspired to enter politics by watching his father, Bhagwan Das Arora, serve the people of Sunam and Punjab.
Bhagwan Das Arora established a dental college and hospital in 1996 to enhance community services.
Bhagwan Das Arora, who was twice elected as an MLA from Sunam, sadly passed away in 2000.
After his demise, Parmeshwari Devi, Arora's mother, ran for the Sunam seat in a by-election but did not win.
Aman Arora's brother, Kamaldeep Arora, faced accusations of kidnapping in 1996 and passed away in 2019.
