Nicholas Pooran started playing cricket in the school team.
He debuted in List A cricket in 2013 representing Trinidad & Tobago against the Windward Islands in Kingstown.
In 2015, Pooran faced a car accident leading to severe ankle and knee injuries, which kept him out of the game for 18 months.
His T20 International debut for the West Indies was in 2016 against Pakistan in Dubai.
For the 2017 IPL season, Mumbai Indians acquired him for Rs 30 lakhs.
