Neelam Bisht, an Indian cricketer, is a bowler who primarily represents Punjab Women.
Mumbai Indians acquired her for Rs. 10 lakhs during the inaugural Women’s Premier League auctions in Mumbai on 13 February 2023.
As a young child, Neelam enjoyed playing cricket with a rubber ball in her backyard.
Recognizing Neelam's passion for the sport, her parents enrolled her at the Little Master Cricket Club in Dehradun, where she trained under coach Narendra Shah.
She later continued her cricket journey at the Nimbus Academy in Dehradun, under the guidance of coach Upender Rawat.
Neelam made her domestic debut for Haryana Women at just 12 years old, playing her first match in Patiala.
In a senior women’s game against Railway (Indian) Women in 2018, she scored 33 runs while representing Haryana.
During the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Trophy T20 Cricket Championship in 2018, Neelam played for India against Nepal, achieving a five-wicket haul in a match India won by 62 runs at Tau Devi Lal Stadium.
Following her achievements, she earned a place in the Punjab Women’s team.
In addition to playing for Punjab, she also competed for Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
During the 2019 Seniors T20 Challenge, Neelam played a crucial role for Punjab against Karnataka Women by bowling the last over, contributing to her team's victory.
Neelam Bisht looked up to Sourav Ganguly and holds admiration for Harmanpreet Kaur, prominent Indian cricketers, from her childhood days.
