Aleixo Sequeira is an Indian politician and businessperson. He represents the Nuvem Assembly constituency in the Goa Legislative Assembly as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
His father migrated to Africa and then to Mombasa, Kenya, before returning to India in 1973 to work as a chemist in Goa.
In 1974, Aleixo Sequeira joined the Indian Youth Congress before becoming a member of the Indian National Congress.
He won the Goa Legislative Assembly elections from the Nuvem constituency in the late 90s and served as the deputy speaker and cabinet minister in 1999.
Aleixo Sequeira held various portfolios including Industries and Information Technology in the Goa Legislative Assembly from 1999 to 2000.
He served as the pro-term speaker at the Fifth Legislative Assembly of Goa in June 2007.
In 2022, Aleixo Sequeira won the Goa Legislative Assembly elections from the Nuvem constituency as an Indian National Congress candidate.
