Moises Henriques was born in Portugal to a Portuguese professional footballer but moved to Australia at the age of one.
As a child, Henriques aspired to be a fast bowler, but he transitioned to being a seamer after multiple injuries.
While his playing style is often likened to Shane Watson, Henriques looks up to Jacques Kallis as his role model.
Endeavour School in Sydney renamed a field in honor of Henriques, an esteemed alumnus, with a special gateway erected at the entrance.
