Akash Madhwal is an Indian cricketer associated with the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand and made his IPL debut in 2023 with the Mumbai Indians.
He hails from Dungra Village but later moved to Roorkee due to his father's job as an army officer, who passed away in 2010.
During his childhood, Akash played cricket with his brother using a plastic bat and ball provided by their father.
His mother mentioned in an interview that Akash excelled in both academics and cricket.
Akash played for the Dhandera XI cricket team before representing Uttarakhand in domestic and first-class cricket from 2019 onwards.
He debuted in T20 matches in 2019, first-class matches in December 2019, and List A matches in February 2021.
By 2023, Akash had played several matches and taken numerous wickets in different formats of the game.
In 2022, Akash won the Ranji Trophy with the Uttarakhand team and later claimed victory with Reliance 1 in the DY Patil T20 Cup.
He also trained at the Veer Shourya Cricket Academy in Roorkee and was acknowledged for his IPL selection in 2022.
Bought by Mumbai Indians as a replacement player, Akash made his IPL debut in 2023 and performed well in his first match.
