Lekha Washington is active in the Tamil and Telugu film industries.
She comes from a mixed heritage background, with a father of Burmese, Italian, and Punjabi descent and a mother from Maharashtra.
At 18 years old, Lekha held her debut exhibition 'Exhibition A' at Lalit Kala Akademi in Chennai.
Her first creation was designed when she was only four or five years old.
In 2002, Lekha Washington featured in the English play 'Twelfth Night' by Madras Player's production in Chennai.
She has appeared in Tamil and Telugu movies and in the Bollywood film 'Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola' (2013).
