Srikar Bharat, an Indian cricketer, hails from Andhra Pradesh.
He came into the spotlight during a match against Delhi Capitals where Royal Challengers Bangalore needed five runs from the last ball.
His parents enrolled him in a cricket academy as a way to keep him away from mischief.
Bharat had his first-class debut in 2013 against Kerala.
Though he hadn't initially trained as a wicketkeeper, he started practicing at 17 when his state team needed a batsman who could also keep wickets.
In 2015, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils, and in 2021, he was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Between 2018 and 2019, Bharat played 11 unofficial Tests for India 'A,' scoring 758 runs with three centuries and two fifties.
During the COVID lockdown, he focused on training, diet, rest, and quality conversations.
